I’ve been going to Excellence in Dentistry for the past 14 months for Invisalign treatment as well as regular check-ups and hygiene appointments, and I can honestly say they are the best dental team I’ve ever been to. I’ve seen many dentists over the years, but Sally and her team stand out above the rest. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. The reception staff always remember my name, which instantly makes the whole experience feel personal and comfortable. Any time I’ve had questions, they’ve responded promptly via email with thorough, easy-to-understand explanations. Even though there were plenty of dental clinics closer to home, Excellence in Dentistry is absolutely worth the drive into the city. It’s refreshing to walk into a healthcare environment where everyone has a smile on their face and clearly enjoys being there. Sally is a true professional, knowledgeable, caring, and incredibly skilled. Couldn’t recommend them more. 10/10!Posted on Libby MundayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Maybe the best dentist I’ve been to. Very fair pricing, no hidden costs, friendly and professional staff. I appreciate that the TVs on the ceiling in the rooms are situated so you can’t see your face reflected - I’ve been to dentists before who didn’t consider this and the whole time I was just staring at my reflection seeing what was being done to my mouth! Makes a big difference for someone who can get a bit squeamish with dental work.
Porcelain vs Composite: Which One Is Right for You?
Choosing between porcelain and composite depends on your goals and preferences. Porcelain is known for its durability, natural appearance, and resistance to stains, and typically lasts 10-15 years or longer. They require a lengthier process unless created using CEREC® same-day technology.
Composites are made from a tooth-coloured resin and can often be applied in a single visit. While more affordable, they are less durable and last around five to seven years.
Our team will guide you through the options to determine which type suits your needs best.
We offer a range of payment plans for your convenience, including the ability to fund your dental treatment through your super.

Preparing for Your New Restoration
The process begins with a consultation to assess your oral health and discuss your smile goals. Depending on your choice of material, the procedure may vary.
When using porcelain, our dentist reshapes your tooth’s surface (around 0.5-0.75 mm) before taking impressions for your custom tooth covers. A temporary one is placed while the permanent ones are crafted in a lab. During your second visit, typically about two weeks later, we remove the temporaries and bond the permanent ones to your teeth.
Using advanced CEREC technology, we take digital scans of your teeth and use them to design and mill your veneers in a single appointment. These custom shells are bonded on the same day, streamlining the process.
Why Patients Love This Option
Veneers offer a subtle yet impactful way to elevate your smile by covering minor imperfections with minimal intervention, enhancing the colour and shape of your teeth for a natural appearance, and boosting confidence in personal and professional settings. Whether you choose traditional porcelain or the convenience of same-day CEREC, the results can be life-changing.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between porcelain and composite veneers?
Porcelain veneers are crafted from premium ceramic materials, offering exceptional durability, a natural appearance, and strong resistance to staining. They tend to last longer than composite veneers and provide a highly polished, natural look. However, the process for porcelain veneers can take a bit longer unless same-day CEREC technology is used.
Composite veneers, made from a tooth-coloured resin, are a more budget-friendly option. They can often be applied in a single visit, but they are more prone to staining and typically have a shorter lifespan.
